Joseph Karsner’s Work with Charity
In addition to his busy insurance, and tax business, Joseph Karsner also makes time in his busy schedule for philanthropic interests. A favorite charity he frequently works with is the American Arthritis Foundation’s juvenile arthritis division. Each year, juvenile arthritis affects roughly 300,000 children in America, but has no known cause or cure. While it is extremely painful, luckily, in contrast to adult arthritis, juvenile arthritis is usually temporary (though in some rare cases it can be permanent), frequently going away in a few years.
The definition of arthritis is the painful swelling of the body’s many joints. This swelling is most likely related to or caused by an autoimmune disease, which depletes the white blood cells’ ability to determine whether cells are healthy, unhealthy, or not a cell at all. As a result, dangerous chemicals can be released into the bloodstream which may damage healthy joints and tissues, which causes the joints to swell.
Juvenile arthritis usually appears in one of three forms: Polyarticular Arthritis, Pauciarticular JRA, and Systemic JRA. All forms of juvenile arthritis usually begin in the form of a high fever, unexplained rash, or swollen joints. Though there is no cure for juvenile arthritis, there is currently several treatment options designed to lessen pain and prevent permanent joint damage.
