Joe Karsner: Professional Organizations

Joseph Karsner is also a member of several other organizations for financial advisory professionals and small business owners. He has been a member of both the National Association of Life Underwriters and Advisors and the Baltimore Life Underwriters Association for 28 years, and a member of the Strategic Coach Program for over 10 years. He is also a member of the USA Tax and Insurance Company and the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce (WAACCC).

The National Association of Life Underwriters and Advisors

The National Association of Life Underwriters and Advisors (NAIFA) is an organization for insurance professionals which not only helps advocate on said professionals behalf, but makes available a multitude of resources for said professionals to use in the education of their clients. NAIFA makes commercials, educational videos, brochures and information packets designed to inform the consumer about the different policies available to them, all without aligning with a specific insurer or agency- so clients can rest assured the information is unbiased and strictly educational. NAIFA also offers extensive training for members so that they always remain abreast and fully informed of new policies and procedures in the insurance and advising field. Furthermore, membership to organizations such as NAIFA can help qualify professionals for memberships to other, more exclusive professional organizations, such as the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).

The Strategic Coach Program

Joseph Karsner is a member and enthusiast of the Strategic Coach Program. The program was designed and is run by one of Mr. Karsner’s favorite authors, Dan Sullivan. The principle goal behind the Strategic Coach program is to help entrepreneurs to more-effectively manage their time so that they spend less time working and have more free time to do the things they really want to do, like spend quality time with their families or dedicate more energy to favorite hobbies. To do this, the Strategic Coach Program focuses on ways entrepreneurs can tackle immediate and future obstacles so that the time they do spend working is used more effectively. This in turn helps the entrepreneur spend less time overall ‘putting out fires’ and allows for more free time.

The Strategic Coach program also teaches entrepreneurs how to best utilize the skills of their employees. By teaching employees to take on more responsibility and in turn relying on those employees skills to help out in crisis situations, entrepreneurs are not only teaching their employees valuable skills, but putting into practice the very skills they were hired for.

Another great bonus of the strategic coach program is the vast network of business acquaintances members are exposed to. Networking amongst a diverse group of business owners members might not otherwise encounter not only provides members with valuable business contacts, but helps create a base of mentors in which to bounce ideas off and brainstorm strategies with.

The USA Tax and Insurance Company

Much like NAIFA, the USA Tax and Insurance Company is an organization which works with insurance and financial professionals to provide them with education and advocacy. USA Tax and Insurance helps its members in all areas of their business- from marketing to advertising to business operation, data management and even employee management. They also pride themselves on offering the distinctive benefits of “success management,” or, in other words, helping already-successful professionals maintain that success.

The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce

West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce (WAACCC) is a branch of the United States Chamber of Commerce, which was designed to help both consumers and business owners have the best possible interaction with each other. On the consumer side, the Chamber of Commerce acts as an advocate, helping to refer consumers to businesses with consistent reputations for providing top-notch customer service. In times of crisis, the Chamber of Commerce can also act on the consumer’s behalf, working with the business in question to come up with a viable solution for both parties. On the business side, the Chamber of Commerce acts as an advocate in Washington, looking out for small business owners and interests. Simply being affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce helps put customers minds at ease and can even increase business volume.
